1. Scope
These Terms apply to Metal Detector (the “App”) and getmetaldetector.app (the “Website”), published by Yurii Koshkin in Spain. By using the App, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms. The App is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless another agreement is shown in the App Store.
2. Intended use and limits
The App is a convenience tool that displays changes in the magnetic field sensed by an iPhone. It may react to magnets and some nearby iron or steel. It does not identify an object’s material, depth, location, safety, value, or composition, and it may not respond to gold, silver, copper, aluminium, or other non-ferromagnetic materials.
Results depend on distance, orientation, the iPhone model, calibration, cases and MagSafe accessories, nearby electronics, and the surrounding magnetic field. The App is not a certified measuring instrument, security scanner, utility locator, medical device, electrical tester, or explosive- or hazard-detection tool. Never rely on it for safety-critical decisions.
3. Free scan and lifetime access
The App provides one completed scan at no charge. Additional scans require the lifetime-access non-consumable in-app purchase. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not renew. Apple shows the current local price before confirmation.
Apple processes payment, entitlement verification, restoration, and eligible refunds. Restore Purchases uses the Apple Account associated with the original purchase. The Website does not sell, issue, or restore access.
4. Safe and responsible use
Use care around strong magnets, machinery, medical equipment, payment cards, magnetic media, and sensitive electronics. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for your iPhone and nearby devices. Do not enter restricted or unsafe areas, dismantle property, or disturb utilities based on an App reading.
5. License and acceptable use
Subject to these Terms and Apple’s license terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App on supported Apple devices for lawful personal or internal business convenience. You may not bypass purchase controls, interfere with service security, redistribute the App, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits.
6. Availability
The App requires a supported iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Magnetic measurement works locally after access is granted. StoreKit product loading, purchase, restoration, and some system services may require Apple services and an internet connection. Features may change when reasonably necessary for compatibility, maintenance, security, or legal compliance.
7. No measurement guarantee
The App and Website are provided on an “as available” basis. No promise is made that every reading is accurate, that every object will cause a change, that the App is suitable for a professional purpose, or that availability will be uninterrupted. Verify important conclusions with an appropriate purpose-built instrument and qualified professional.
8. Liability and consumer rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss resulting from reliance on a reading or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights available to European Union consumers.
9. Intellectual property and privacy
The App, Website, design, branding, text, and software are owned by the publisher or used under license. The Privacy Policy explains how local settings, motion sensor access, Apple purchases, support messages, and Website delivery data are handled.
10. Governing law and contact
